Kadison Beaver, LMFT Intern
Kadison is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families find holistic healing and live authentic, productive, and peaceful lives. He graduated from Lee University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in music business and began his formal study of counseling in the fall of 2020. Kadison is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at Pentecostal Theological Seminary (PTS) in Cleveland, TN and is working as an intern at Olive Tree as the final step to complete his master's degree and the first step to become fully licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of North Carolina. During this process, he is working under the direct supervision of R. David Morrow Ph.D. LMFT.
While a part-time student Kadison has worked full-time in vocational ministry, serving in Music Ministry, Youth Ministry, and General Pastoral Care and Counseling. He currently serves as the Director of Worship and Youth Ministries at Gum Swamp Church in Greenville, NC. His experience, both as a counselor and a minister, has allowed him to work with a diverse range of individuals of all ages and from all walks of life, facing a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, family and relational conflict, and struggles adjusting to life changes. He utilizes an integrative approach in counseling, combining several interventions and therapeutic techniques, most often including Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT).
Kadison loves exploring the outdoors, watching movies, making music, and having long conversations over a good cup of coffee. He lives in Greenville, NC with his wife, Shana, and their three cats: Mister, Toby, and 'lil Shrek.
