Kayla Trammell received her Masters of Social Work from Walden University in 2024. Prior to graduate school, she graduated from Frostburg State University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Before joining Olive Tree Family Counseling, she provided mental health services to military service members at Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point. She has worked with various age groups that have experienced trauma, mood disorders, sleep disorders, personality disorders, anxiety and depression. In addition, she provided psychoeducational, support, and processing groups to help members overcome their challenges. She has an interest in working with adults but is open to any population and background. Her theoretical orientation favors psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
Kayla is originally from Maryland; she has spent the last six years in Eastern NC. She enjoys spending time with her children, family, friends, pets, loves hiking and traveling.
